Pizza Hut Express

This is mainly for the Southwest Grill restaurant that is now only what they serve during lunch time. Pizza Hut is served in the evening. As far as Pizza Hut, no complaints. But Southwest Grill has only been open since April and is constantly a hit or miss, sadly miss. The food itself tastes decent when they have everything in stock which is rare. I usually come here when I’m short on time and want something fast and somewhat healthy. But they either 1. Run out of beef barbacoa or simply have another beef option and don’t change the sign. 2. Are out of sour cream. 3. Out of real lettuce that actually matches with southwest food (arugula isn’t it, tastes odd and does not complement Tex Mex well). Or #4–out of all options and you’re forced to just accept since it’s a line serving situation. Then the icing is how expensive it is for what you get. $19 for a combo with avocado and $14 without it. :/ I appreciate the effort the base is making to provide more options but I just don’t understand why every other day they’re out of something or another. It has inspired me to just start making my own version of chipotle at home so I guess that’s a positive. Overall, it won’t be the worst thing to eat on base but for the prices I think going to Shawingz next door is a better option or even the German cantina.
